Swine Flu- H1N1 or not?

So, I would just like to make a comment on the swine flu vaccination.

I have an opinion about it.

I am very against the H1N1 vaccination.

Watch the following clip - it explains a little more.

To be honest, I don't agree with any vaccinations. I have never been vaccinated (except for my mission shots) and am just fine. The vaccinations cause more problems and shoot more junk into a person's body than do good.

I think, a small part of why people use vaccinations, is that they are excuse for poor health. People can eat whatever they want and just go and get the vaccination and think they are protected. Wrong! Good health is the best and only true vaccination. Eating fruits and vegetables, whole grains, plenty of protein, drinking water, cutting sugar out of your diet... and probably the most important thing of all: get enough sleep. This isn't a "hippie's guide to health." It is the way God created us. If we just lived according to the Word of Wisdom in DC 89, we would be set.

That is my opinion.

Eat well and sleep enough. No need for vaccinations. There are a million ways you can dispute this... but there are also a million ways to support it. This is my opinion - you have to do the research and see what is for you.

  1. Hey Ash-Thanks for your post. I'm probably not going to get the H1N1 vaccination. I'm not entirely against it, I just think, I probably don't need it. I am the type of person that does try to fight the headache rather than pop an advil...so I see your point. However, I am not against vaccinations as a whole.

My uncle died at the age of 4 from meningitis. From the moment he felt sick, it was just 24 hours til he died. I'm not sure what could have saved him, but they attribute a large reason why he died to the fact that his immune system was still weak from the measles that he got over just a week before. He had not been vaccinated for measles. Doesn't that concern you a bit? I mean some things are just contagious and your body can't fight it off (like measles) even if you are eating and sleeping well.

Also-I was wondering something else because I think your idea is great...I only wonder if it would work. Didn't your schools make you show a vaccination report to attend school? In California you have to bring proof of all the major vaccines to attend school.

  2. Great question - all of the schools I have attended have required a vaccination report. However, it is not mandatory - but they don't want the public to know that. I went to public and private schools and was totally fine.

Like I said, the schools don't want their students not getting vaccinated because they're afraid that everyone will get the chicken pox or the flu.

I had chicken pox and I had whooping cough when I was seven years old. I was just fine - yes, there are extreme cases that end so unfortunately. I don't know what to say to those. I have read too many cases of vaccinations being the primary cause of a child becoming autistic or developing some horrible disease.

I have a hard time watching mothers birth a child and having everything go well and then to have the nurse wisk the baby off to poke them full of needles and drip stuff in their eyes - they don't need it! They are perfect, healthy little beings straight from Heavenly Father. They don't need that junk.

That is just my personal view. :)

  3. You know, no studies have proven yet that autism and vaccinations are linked. The obvious point here is that the studies testing for such linkages are extremely expensive and the only ones who will invest in those studies are individuals or organizations who have a serious interest in the matter (i mean $, not actual truth). I am totally with you on leading a healthy lifestyle, and that by so doing, you eliminate a lot of potential disease and illness.

However, I don't think, at all, that vaccines are synthetically harmful. I think you know how they work--scientist take a weakened form of the pathogen (disease/virus), secretes the antigen(anti-body stimulus) into the individual , and allows the body to form its own anti-bodies against the disease in case it ever appears in the future. It is no different than contracting the actual disease, just in smaller, more controlled doses. It is preventative care at its best.

A study in one of my Biology text books cited a study that nearly 50,000 Americans die each year from infections that could have been prevented with vaccines.

I understand what you're saying, but it just seems like the the best way to prevent disease is the base of a healthy lifestyle, with a little help from science.

P.S. I am actually completely opposed to most drugs (even Aspirin) but vaccines are not as synthetic (just controlled) as most drugs.

That's just my opinion, though. Good thoughts!

  4. Yep, you're right Ryan - no direct correlations between vaccinations and autism (or any other childhood disease) have been "proven"... but I don't think that just because it hasn't been scientifically proven that it is not one of a handful of causes. We can't see it but we know it is there. (This is a bad comparison, but a lot of scientists can't see God... but you and I know He is there. Like I said, bad comparison, but there is kind of an underlying idea there.)

A U.S. study found that children who received vaccines containing a preservative called "thimerosal", which is almost 50 percent mercury, were more than twice as likely to develop autism than children who did not. (Although mercury has been removed from regular childhood vaccines due to growing safety worries, it is still present in other vaccines children might get.)

Every year more and more children are being diagnosed with learning disabilities and autism. According to many experts, including Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., a senior attorney for the Natural Resources Defense Council and author of Deadly Immunity, the govt is to blame. There's growing evidence that shows that a drug called "thimerosal" (see above) is to blame. This drug is found in vaccines. The fact is the more vaccines kids get, the more autism, learning disabilities, and lifelong illness develops.

Autism is a catastrophic epidemic with an increase of 1,500% in the UK in the last decade. In California one in 150 children is autistic - a 54% increase in just 2001/2. The primary causes of autism known to come from vaccines, maternal overexposure to heavy metals and antibiotics, heavy metals from industry pollution of the air and water, and the chemicals used in the electronics industry. Significantly, the first cases of autism were described in the US shortly after the vaccines for whooping cough were introduced in the 1940s.

Could the number of vaccines now recommended actually be contributing to the rise in children's chronic diseases like asthma, allergies, autism, autoimmune disease, diabetes, obesity, some cancers and the growing epidemic of developmental disorders? In just twenty-four years, we've gone from fewer than ten vaccines to fifty vaccines, and there are more on the way. As the childhood health crisis worsens, more and more parents, and physicians, are starting to question the effect these vaccines might be having on children's developing immune systems.

Now, there are absolutely just as many facts/ opinions proving that vaccinations do not cause autism/ disease. My personally belief is educating ourselves on these things and deciding. My fam - we have all decided not to vaccinate... even my bros and sisters with their kids, because of personal testimonials that my dad sees in his office all the time as well as research. (Not trying to convince anyone to make this same choice... I'm simply voicing my opinion.) ;) I like doing that.

  5. You're logic isn't that great. "I've never had vaccines and I'm fine...therefore, vaccines are a joke." Think about what you write. Fallacies like that do little more than prove your ignorance. You seem pretty extreme, though, in most of what you hold as opinion, so I'm sure you'll just read this and chalk it up to me being 'closed minded' or something. All I'm suggesting is that you relax a little bit. People can see right through extreme rants.

  6. Ha ha ha! Awesome! I've never been called a ranter before. Thanks Anonymous! I will chalk that up to a new experience. Take it as you will - you may call it ignorance but I took this as an opportunity to share my opinion, and what I know about the topic.(Limited, yes, I know.) Like I said in a comment earlier, this is my opinion- I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything. And, you're absolutely right, I am pretty ignorant of the whole science behind vaccinations and disease - and I'm assuming that you are a genius on the topic. I don't consider you closed-minded at all - you hold your opinion as well. If someone was questioning or curious as to the legitimacy of vaccinations, (Jessica for example)they could refer to the video clip (and my opinion) as a resource.(Or maybe I put that clip together myself to further prove my point and aggravate anonymous readers ... who knows.)From what I have seen, experienced and been taught, I do not agree with vaccines. That's all. I wanted to share that on my blog... thanks for reading!
